The Butterfly valve consists of a disc connected to a stem which is rotated to open and close. The design of the butterfly valve makes it a popular choice when space is limited and are used to throttle and regulate media flow in partial, fully closed, or open positions. With the Butterfly disc in the centre of the valve some pressure drop will always occur.
Butterfly Valves are a quarter turn style valve meaning they only require a quarter turn to fully open or close which can be easily and economically actuated.
Wafer Style Butterfly Valves are designed to be used with international flanges including AS2129, BS10, ANSI, DIN & JIS. The Wafer Style Valve is designed for inline service and requires a flange on either side of the valve for installation.
Lugged Style Butterfly Valves are constructed with a series of lugs around the outside of the valve
Butterfly Valves are used in a wide range of industries including Water Treatment, Wastewater, Pulp & Paper, Food Processing, Mining & General Industrial applications.
