K-Torc Pneumatic Actuators

The K-Torc C Series range of actuators are an Aluminium bodied Rack & Pinion design, offering both Spring Return & Double acting, meeting both Namur & ISO standards for mounting of accessories.

The C-Series is also offered in a PTFE coating (Blue) for corrosive areas, the protection of Stainless steel but without the cost of Stainless steel bodies. If required, K-Torc offers the A Series actuators in a 304SS Standard & 316SS on request. The actuators operate on Dry or Lubricated air, or if required non-corrosive gases. The minimum air supply is 2.5 bar & a maximum at 10 bar.

K-Torc Limit Switch Boxes

The K-Torc range of Limit Switches Boxes is versatile and robust. Easily adaptable with its ISO5211 & Namur Standards bracketing. The housing is made of a Polyester powder coated aluminium die-casted housing and hard anodized body, IP67 rated. Offering a full range of switch boxes from the simple open & closed mechanical switches right through to the Explosion proof EXD certified. The K-Torc range of limit switch boxes are widely used throughout the Australian market – Chemical Plants, LPG service station systems, Refineries.

K-Torc Namur Solenoid Valves

The K-Torc Namur Standard and pipe mounted Solenoid valves can be adapted to operate 3/2 NC and 5/2 functions, controlling both Double acting & Spring return actuators and are suitable for outdoor use. Standard body materials are extruded aluminium body, anodized coated or nickel coated in Chemical or 316SS / 304 complete units. Standard working pressure ranges 2 – 8 bar & working voltages are 12-48V DC / 110-240V AC. K-torc offer a more select range to cover hazardous and corrosive areas – Intrinsically Safe & Flame proof direct acting coils, conforming to approved standards Ex / CE / ATEX.

K-Torc Positioners

The 2 types of K-Torc Positioners are - 1. Electro-Pneumatic – 2 types Rotary and Linear, they control valve stroke accurately through air pressure according to the input signal of 4-20mA from the electrical control system. 2. Pneumatic-Pneumatic - 2 types Rotary and Linear, they control valve stroke accurately through air pressure according to the input air signal of 3-15psi from the electrical pneumatic converter.

Spring Return Actuators

The Spring return actuators come with preloaded coated springs for resistance to corrosion offering a longer cycle life. Air to open / Spring to close gives you a fail-safe option in case there is a loss of air. Ranging from the C-52SR with an end spring torque of 10.2Nm up to the C-270SR 1352Nm end spring torque. Double Acting Actuators

The Double acting actuators are air to open air to close, the actuators are the same body as the “Spring Return Actuators” containing no springs this leaves the actuated valve in its charged position on loss of air. The Air Consumption depends on the Air Supply, Air volume and action cycle times. As with the Spring return actuators the DA range is identical, Double acting range offers high torques meaning that you can use smaller actuators on larger valves.

K-Torc ALS-200

This “Puck” Style valve indicator is a rotary position indication device, utilising 2 reed switches & 2 permanent magnets. Encased in protective plastic this convenient and small device is easily mounted to the top of the actuator. The design of the ALS-200D device is made to suit actuated valves situated in tight areas.

ALV610 Flameproof 316SS

Namur Solenoid Made to Namur standards, the K-TORC ALV610F3C4 Namur solenoid is easily adapted to both 3/2 NC or 5/2 controlling functions for Pneumatic Actuators. As with the standard Namur Solenoid the working pressures of 2 – 8Bar & working voltages 12 – 48VDC & 110 – 240VAC. Armed with a Stainless Steel Body & Stainless Steel Flameproof coil enclosure, this unit is excellent for corrosive & hazardous environments. Approved & Certified to ATEX / EX / CE, Rated to IP66 this Namur solenoid valve is complete with a manual override. ALV510 Standard Namur Solenoid valve. (1)

ALV510 Standard Namur Solenoid

Made to Namur standards, this K-TORC Namur mounted solenoid valve can be adapted to 3/2 NC & 5/2 Functions controlling Double acting & Spring return Pneumatic actuators. ALV510F3C5 Flameproof Coil Standard bodied Namur Solenoid

This K-TORC Namur Solenoid valve is as per the standard namur valve body, being extruded aluminium, anodized coated. This unit is completed by an aluminium coil enclosure Flameproof approved & rated to EX d IIC T6. Suitable for hazardous zoned areas, such as - Fuel Farms / Bulk Storage facilities. Other options are Intrinsically Safe coils.

ALP-1000 (Electro-pneumatic)

Offering both Linear and Rotary positioning, the ALP-1000 is renowned for its valve stroke accuracy, controlled through air pressure at a 4-20 mA input signal from an electrical control system. The ALP-1000 Electro-Pneumatic offers many performance features:

  • Performs ½ split control without requiring other substitutes
  • Easily convertible from Direct Action to Reverse Action or vice-versa
